The Bellett Residence, currently in concept design, proposes a contemporary two‑storey addition to an existing brick terrace home. The design seeks to soften the linear circulation of the original dwelling by introducing a new central living environment that becomes the heart of the home.
Openness is created through a pivotal spatial arrangement, where the living space extends from a reimagined kitchen, island and dining configuration. A double‑height internal void defines the threshold between old and new, marking the transition with a moment of vertical release and clarity.
The extension continues the spatial generosity of the recently refurbished 3.6‑metre‑high interiors, reinforcing a quiet sense of luxury throughout. Strong emphasis is placed on connecting internal spaces with the outdoors, with two defined light‑court gardens drawing natural light deep into the plan and offering places of repose overlooking the generous backyard.
